It is spring again...a time of growth and visual abundance, yet also a season of uncertainty amid unsettling reports on the economy.
In past economic downturns, we've been grateful to put our knowledge and experience to good use... seeing opportunities in the challenges, and partnering with businesses to help sustain and strengthen. We are optimistic about the future now as well, fully recognizing the requirement to remain attentive and willing to shift gears in the process.
Many business owners and executives are focusing most intently on how to more effectively manage operating costs and margins - in many cases using our services to fill targeted positions and covering the day-to-day vacancies on their own. I'm grateful to have a team deftly and flexibly covering the spectrum - with individuals who realize the importance of sharing information with one another to make sure the client's needs are abundantly met.
Because we respond to the very specific needs of a company in our work, we have to be especially attentive and knowledgeable about the culture of a particular business as well as the skill sets requested. And these days we have another intriguing component...
Generational dynamics have become an undeniably prominent part of the mix in today's marketplace - whether you look at an outside audience or your own internal team. We are invested in understanding what a GenX or a Millennial needs - or expects - in order to be successful and satisfied in a job, and how this will balance among members of the team. Staffing is always an ongoing journey of learning, and this is part of what we as a team find so rewarding.
In March we celebrated our 16th year in business and a current total of 81 years of tenure represented in our permanent staff. (Complete with generational representation of philosophies, ideas and work styles!)
Our entire team remains grateful for the chance to meet real needs among individuals and businesses - whether they arise out of economic challenge, generational complexities, or ongoing growth and expansion. We thank all of you who have become our partners in a very worthwhile business community. And we look forward to meeting those of you who have yet to partner with us.
