Responsibilities include overseeing the efficiency and operational functions of job design and cost processes. The main objective of this role is to minimize inventory and maximize sales through efficiencies in the areas of engineering design, job cost, purchasing, assembly, production, inventory, quality assurance/control, and product validation process.

Duties:

- Review and approve quotes, purchase orders, and submittals. Assist team with new product and applications development.

- Coordinate & communicate with all divisions in the fabrication of that product.

- Increase efficiency of operations and lead time issues.

- Achieve goals in cost and delivery.

- Oversee Engineers on projects to ensure cost efficiency and scheduling is on target.

- Schedule production dates and monitor the status of the project.

- Collaborate with sales division to maximize contribution margins.

Requirements:

- Minimum 10 years of experience managing Application Engineers in an industrial or municipal environment.

- 4 year Technical Degree, Engineering is preferred, or degree in a closely related technical discipline. An M.B.A. or M.S. degree is highly preferred.

- Experience with new market / product applications is preferred.

- Knowledge of raw material purchasing, production processes, quality control, cost, and other techniques to maximize the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.

- Advanced knowledge of SolidWorks and CAD are required.

- Experience with skid design is a plus.

- Must have worked with metals, stainless steel preferred.

Experience with fluid/water based applications is greatly preferred. The VP of Operations needs to know the applications well enough to step in and assist as needed in addition to supervising the work. This position will also oversee company production scheduling, design, process efficiencies, and effective troubleshooting. The Vice President of Operations role also oversees Engineers and Draftsmen that design industrial and municipal projects.

Must have extensive experience in Bill of Materials pricing, Lean Inventory Control, Design Applications, and raw material acquisition. The right individual will have proven track record of designing efficiencies in production & assembly process.

Must have Engineering experience at a Mid-Management level, including interaction with Executive Management Team to develop best practices. This is not an entry level or mid level position.
