Sports Psychology for Business Slumps
Cathy Frost / cathyf@bfps.com In yesterday’s Wall Street Journal there is a great article on the relationship between business slumps and sports slumps. It talks about famous sports heroes that utilize a variety of mental tools to get them out of a slump. I thought this is so relevant in today’s economy…I think we all have questioned our techniques and methods and in many cases second-guessed ourselves into a bad place.
Confidence...A Gift
I have been attempting to learn the game of golf. I have worked hard on the game, taking lessons, practicing and actually playing. The last several times I have played I have not done well, and I really began to lose confidence in my ability or desire to ever learn the game. Well…Wednesday night I had a golf lesson and my instructor -- who happens to be incredible -- corrected my swing and really worked with me, and she was able to give me back my confidence. I am looking forward to getting out on the golf course this weekend! |
